ABOUT US

sue_pierce_photo-web.jpgSue Pierce is the President and founder of Posh Party Box.  The quintessential party girl, she has been training to become your personal shopper and party planner for most of her life.  Sue’s goal was to create a one-stop shopping experience for busy women who wanted to throw a great party that was unique and fun, but who had little time to plan and shop! Since launching her business in 2007, Posh Party Box has received four prestigious awards. Two of the awards were for Product Excellence from iParenting, a Disney Internet Group media property and premier media site focused on parents. She also received two Preferred Choice awards from Creative Child Magazine. Posh Party Box has been featured in several magazines and television shows.
“I absolutely consider myself a grandmom-entrepreneur and someone who definitely is living my dream,” says Sue Pierce.

Four years ago, Sue was ready to retire, but wasn’t ready to stop working altogether. She decided it was the perfect time to try something new, fun, and challenging. After 25 years in the corporate world, a grandmother of ten decided to leave her lucrative income to pursue her dream, and Posh Party Box was born.

Regardless of age, one thing holds true: entrepreneurial spirit knows no age boundaries.  Grandmothers are the best entrepreneurs you will meet. They have been the Director of Operations, the Human Resources Supervisor, and the CEO of their homes and families for years. As the boss, it was her job to manage the headquarters and raise the company from a single branch into several independently owned and operated franchises.

As founder Sue created a variety of themed parties that not only provide entertainment and fun, but also provide a bit of education too (don’t tell the kids this part!). Our unique parties are a break from the traditional birthday party. We offer themes such as Dinosaur Dig, where each child is transformed into a Jr. Paleontologist. The kids learn to excavate dinosaur bones from a clay rock and assemble the skeleton for display. Our little girl’s tea party, La Tea Da, teaches etiquette and manners. A favorite with the boys is All about Bugs, where the kids learn how to collect, observe, and identify different insects and plants in nature. Or you may want to try Le Petite Chef, where the children have a hands-on experience with food and learn about measurements, nutrition, and how to combine ingredients to make something fun and great-tasting!

Sue hopes you enjoy your shopping experience at Posh Party Box.  Just select your theme and "Unwrap the fun"!
